Eddie Howe is plotting midfield reinforcements at Newcastle, and, according to Fabrizio Romano, the Toon have a "genuine interest" in Camara.
The 22-year-old is also drawing admiration from Liverpool, but it's the Magpies who have already held initial "talks" with the all-action midfielder.
Camara has amassed 30 appearances in all competitions for Monaco this term, assisting four times, balancing creativity with incredible ball recovery and high pressing.
Capped 30 times by the Senegalese national team, Camara is valued at around €50m (£43.6m) after joining the French giants from Ligue 1 rivals Metz in 2024.
The talented midfielder has played alongside Paul Pogba at Monaco, formerly of Manchester United and Juventus, praising him as "world-class".
"As soon as I heard Monaco were interested in Pogba, I told myself we are really lucky to have him in our team," Camara said in an interview with The Guardian las year.
"We know he is a world-class player, but he doesn’t show that (in the dressing room). He is always humble and stays true to himself.
"We know he is a player who will bring us a lot through his experience. We hope he will be fit again soon. We will really need him this season."
