Mason Mount thinks Manchester United teammate Benjamin Sesko can become "one of the best strikers" in the world.

Sesko took a while to find his rhythm after joining from RB Leipzig last summer, but Michael Carrick's arrival in January has brought out the best in him.

Nine of the Slovenian's 11 Premier League goals have come in his last 14 top-flight appearances, beginning this prolific run with a brace against Burnley at the start of the year.

The 22-year-old is beginning to repay the £74 million United paid Leipzig for his services with match-winning displays, and teammate Mount believes he has the tools in his locker to become one of the world's best.

“He could definitely be one of the best strikers in the world if he carries on going, I think he’s got all the attributes, he can finish, he’s unbelievable in the air, hold up play," Mount told Sky Sports.

"So yeah, I’m a big fan of Ben. I really like him as a person as well.”

Sesko's goals in the last few months have helped the Red Devils qualify for the Champions League. The big challenge for the towering striker is to now showcase his talents in Europe's elite competition next season, and then he may fulfil Mount's prediction.
