Luka Vuskovic will return to Tottenham once his loan at Hamburg expires next month.

The 19-year-old defender has watched his stock rise significantly since moving to the Bundesliga side on loan, becoming a rock in the heart of their defence.

Vuskovic has also proven to be a weapon at the other end of the pitch, too, scoring six goals in 28 German top-flight appearances, including an audacious scorpion kick against Werder Bremen in December.

The Croatian is now excited about the upcoming World Cup and working under Roberto De Zerbi in North London, with a potential return to Hamburg being labelled as "impossible".

Sky reporter Florian Plettenberg says there have been "no talks" or "negotiations" over a second loan move, with two potential options emerging.

Vuskovic either signs a long-term contract at Spurs and becomes a key player under De Zerbi or transfers to one of Europe's biggest clubs.

A strong World Cup could get even more eyes watching him and perhaps give Tottenham more reason to use him regularly next season.
