Ghana secured their spot in the WAFCON semi-finals after a tense 0-0 draw with Algeria, prevailing 4-2 in a dramatic penalty shootout.

Both teams showcased strong defensive skills throughout the 120 minutes, with Black Queens’ Stella Nyamekye’s goal ruled out for offside.

Despite multiple attempts by like Doris Boaduwaa, Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah, and Evelyn Badu, Algeria’s resilient defense and goalkeeper Chloé N’Gazi kept the game scoreless. 

Algeria also threatened, but goalkeeper Cynthia Konlan made crucial saves. In the shootout, Konlan was the hero, saving penalties from Marine Dafeur and Ines Belloumou. 

With successful penalties from Josephine Bonsu, Boaduwaa, Boye-Hlorkah, and Badu, Ghana won 4-2, securing their place in the final four.
