Florentino Perez would be delighted if Real Madrid superstar Vinicius Jr stayed at the Santiago Bernabeu for the rest of his career.

“I'd love for Vini Jr to stay FOREVER," Real's president said in an interview. “He's won us the last two Champions Leagues, and he identifies really well with the club”.

“His’ renewal? There's time”.

Talk of Vinicius's immediate future emerged as his contract expires in June 2027, but the Brazilian isn't in any rush to renew and is "calm" about the situation.

"I am not in a rush to renew my contract," the 25-year-old said. "I have a contract until 2027. So, until 2027, we have a great deal to discuss with Madrid, and Madrid has a great deal to discuss with us.

"Real Madrid is calm, and I am calm. The president trusts me, and I trust him. And that’s all there is to it; we just have to wait and live each day, each moment, and enjoy the best club in the world."

Perez is set to be re-elected as president next weekend when he stands against Enrique Riquelme, and he's already looking ahead to the future.

But Vinicius, who produced 36 goal involvements in 53 appearances for Los Blancos this term, could exit the club after the World Cup unless a new deal can be agreed.
