Tolu Arokodare capped Wolves’ 2-0 Carabao Cup win over Everton at Molineux with his first goal for the club, securing progression to the fourth round and their first clean sheet of the season.

Marshall Munetsi had put Wolves ahead in the first half, responding to the weekend defeat to Leeds with a confident strike.

Vitor Pereira made nine changes, including a switch to a back four, and the home team adapted quickly, dominating possession.

David Moyes’ team threatened early through Tyler Dibling and Michael Keane, but Sam Johnstone’s saves kept them at bay.

Wolves wrestled control, creating further chances through Jorgen Strand Larsen and Hee Chan Hwang, before Arokodare’s late finish put the result beyond doubt, giving the home side momentum for the Premier League.
